How to use the scanner in CLCC 216

 

1. Select the applications folder from the tool bar.

2. Choose Canon Utilities > CanoScan Toolbox 5.0

3. The CanoScan Toolbox will appear on your desktop. Place your document on the scanner platen face down aligned with the upper right arrow. Close cover and select Save from the CanoScan Toolbox.

Rounded Rectangular Callout: Scan Mode allows you to select the coloring of your image such as Black and White, Grayscale, or Color

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. The Image Quality you choose depends on the purpose and type of image.

Text Box: If the scanned image is a gif such as clipart, you should choose the lowest dpi.Rounded Rectangular Callout:

7. Save as Type should remain JPEG/Exif if the file will be used as an image. You may also select to save it as a PDF using the down arrow.

:Picture 16.pngTo save on your flash drive, de-select Save to a Subfolder with Current Date. Next, select the Browse button to find your flash drive.

 

8. Select Apply, then Scan. Your image will be scanned and appear in a separate window.
