Panel Discussion: How Have Emerging Technologies Changed Educational Environments Over the Last Decade?

Presenter: Dr. LeeAnn Lindsey


Dr. LeeAnn Lindsey leads an initiative to infuse technology and the ISTE Standards throughout the teacher education curriculum in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) at Arizona State University. She also directs the college's iTeach Experience project, which provides technology, training, and support for student teachers and their mentors to effectively integrate technology. Additionally, LeeAnn holds an executive board position in Arizona's statewide ISTE affiliate organization, AzTEA.


LeeAnn's background includes 20+ years as an educator. Before landing in MLFTC, she served as a classroom teacher, a district-wide technology integration specialist, a statewide education technology trainer, and a professional development coordinator for a nationally recognized education portal. Her education background includes a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in educational technology, a graduate degree with principal certification, and an education doctorate in leadership and innovation, policy studies. In 2013, she received ISTE's prestigious "Making IT Happen" award. A firm believer that technology can be a "game changer" for teachers and students, LeeAnn strives to support those she works with to push their own boundaries and to surprise themselves.
